Another successful festival from all aspects: Patrons, Performers and financially!
Reviews of the festival are welcome and can be emailed to the committee member of your choice on the contacts page.
We would also welcome material or copy that would aid us in compiling a more detailed history of the festival especially events prior 2002. It is known that there are many folkies and performers that attended those earlier years that are still involved in the industry.
St Albans Folk Festival, held over a weekend close to Anzac Day, is home to quality Traditional & Contemporary Folk Music, Australian Bush Music, Music Sessions, Workshops, Dances, Poetry and Children's Activities. The event showcases local and international performers, song writers and musicians. The festival runs a market of food, produce and other stalls. Patrons travel for the day or camp on the banks of the McDonald River 20 kms from Wisemans Ferry in the beautiful Hawkesbury River area, North of Sydney and West of Gosford.
The village has one of the oldest pubs in Australia, the Settlers Arms and a Historical Cemetery.
